About the Office

In 1993, the University created a permanent office for Race Relations and Anti-Racism Initiatives.  Following extensive consultation conducted across the three University of Toronto campuses, various recommendations were adopted, leading to the creation of the Anti-Racism and Cultural Diversity Office in 2005.  The office is mandated to offer programs and services to students, faculty and staff across the three campuses. It is a member of the Equity Issues Advisory Board at the University of Toronto and works closely with fellow Equity Offices.
